Size: This is a medium shrimp, which does not exceed 145
mm (5.7 inches).
Distribution: This species is distributed from Kuwait,
Iran around Pakistan, Sri Lanka and India to Bangladesh.
It is a marine shrimp preferring depths of 20 to 90
meters (65 to 300 feet).

Comments: This shrimp is one of important species in
Pakistan and the west coast of India. It is used for
peeling, with much of the catch exported frozen. It also
has some commercial importance in Bangladesh.
